Simple Hummus

Hhhmm Hummus! I absolutely adore hummus, it is definitely one of my favourite things to eat and I went through periods that I ate it everyday. It is so healthy and good for you that in fact you can have it everyday, though I would not advice to have that often if you buy from the supermarket, simply because it is very high in salt and fat. Good news is that hummus is one of the easiest things to make specially if you have a food processor, but you can also make it with a hand blender just takes a bit longer. I failed many times till I came up with this very simple version but in my opinion very yummy. I hope you feel the same way once you tried it for yourself. Full of preteen, fibre and even calcium I strongly advise you to try! You can have it with a spoon like my niece loves to do or you can have it with raw vegetal sticks, which is my favourite way or also with roasted vegetables, in salads, as a spread in a super yummy gluten free bread, well I could go on and on since I love it so much I could have it almost with everything. Enjoy!

Simple hummus

2 cans of chick peas

1/3 cup of water

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp tahini

1 lemon juiced

1 garlic clove

1 tsp salt

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp black pepper

Method

Put all the ingredients in a food processor and mix till it creates a smooth paste. You might have to stop, mix with a spoon and process again, depending on your food processor. If you are using a hand blender just keep blending till it becomes very creamy.
